New Delhi – A former Air India captain was discovered dead on Monday morning in a locked room of a five‑star hotel in the upscale Vasant Kunj neighbourhood. According to hotel staff, the door was locked from the inside when they entered after receiving a call from the pilot’s brother, who had become concerned when the man failed to check out of his room. The deceased, identified by the airline as Captain Ravi Kumar (name withheld pending family consent), had been on a brief layover in Delhi after a routine domestic flight.

Delhi Police arrived promptly, sealed the premises and launched a forensic examination.
